Sometimes, not being able to breathe through your nose can make snoring and apnea worse. A "deviated septum" can force someone to breathe through their mouth at night and even make it hard to wear a CPAP mask.
Dr. Parker will evaluate your nasal airway and determine if nasal obstruction may be playing a role in your snoring problem.
There are multiple ways to treat nasal obstruction, and all can be discussed at Parker ENT! From inhaled medications to devices worn inside the nose to surgery, breathing better through your nose will be help your sleep!
Some patients with nasal obstruction may also require "multilevel" airway surgery, where nasal obstruction is relieved by straightening the nasal septum or reducing the size of the turbinates at the same time as insertion of Pillar Implants or UPPP.
